Meet Heather Woodward
Heather has been a nationally-recognized mental health clinician for 25 years, working with various demographics, with a focus on children and families facing behavioral and emotional challenges. She collaborates with families and curates tailored at-home treatment plans that address a child's unique needs, providing both short and long-term care models. Heather's primary focal point of practice and area of expertise is emotional regulation and management of the parent-child relationship. Heather also has decades of experience working with children combatting issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and life transitions, and utilizes therapies like CBT, DBT, solution-focused, and-centered approaches.
Having worked in diverse settings to include private practice, schools, hospitals and community mental health centers, Heather holds multiple qualifications, including an advanced graduate certificate in psychology counseling, a master’s educational counseling, and various licenses in mental health counseling. As a mother of two children herself who both face various mental health and neurodivergent disorders, she offers both empathy and effective strategies to help families comfort in an area with which she can deeply relate.

Heather continues to offer coaching services for parents, and therapeutical services for both parents and children. She works out of her Rhode Island-based office, but also serves clients on-site, virtually, and has served as a panelist and keystone speaker at various speaking engagements in the pediatric behavioral health space.
